Edward S. Marshall is the president of netlogic, Inc., an independant technology consulting firm focusing on UNIX and Internet deployment, engineering, and training.

Edward is the former Vice President and co-founder of Common Internet Inc., a company which specialized in delivering Internet connectivity and networking solutions to businesses and consumers in rural Canada. He has worked within a diverse set of companies, including Winstar Communications, Tribune Company, Insurance Auto Auctions Inc., Mercantec, Inc., and the Chicago Board of Trade, providing system and network deployment, integration, migration, management, and training skills to clients in and around Chicago, Illinois, USA.

He is an active developer of open source software, with an eye on system administration tools and development support for popular software packages such as the Apache webserver and the INN news server. He brings these skills to bear in helping technology groups streamline their day-to-day workload and improve responsiveness, availability, and reporting.

Edward currenly shares an Aurora, Illinois home with numerous technological relics from the 1970s and later which constantly remind him of his father saying, "When I was your age, we didn't have any fancy calculators. We did it the hard way, and liked it." He still has that slide rule.
