I'm finally getting around to fixing up the space I seem to spend so much
time in: the garage. We've had some basic shelving up here and there, but
nothing very sturdy, and certainly nothing strong enough to hold up, say,
a transmission. ;) We went over to
Menards last night and picked up the
components of a modular shelving system from Gorilla; tough stuff, looks
like it'll take the weight of average automotive components. Once I get it
all assembled tonight, I'll have a basic 6' workbench with drawers, and a
4' shelving system right next to it, all within easy reach of the air
compressor. The next step is 12-16' of shelving along the opposite wall
for storage of the random crap I have laying all over the floor right now.
I also have four overhead dual-bulb florescent lights that I need to wire
up; there's already a switched outlet in the roof, which should make this
job a breeze in comparison to figuring out how to hook up the compressor.
Just one problem: I don't own a ladder. :-P I see another trip to the
hardware store in my future...
